Barajoun Entertainment working on VR content for UAE theme park
Barajoun Entertainment, the UAE-based production company, is working on VR content for an upcoming theme park development in Dubai, UAE.
“We have done it [VR content] before, but this is something on a larger scale. It’s a physical theme park that has a virtual and immersive reality rides,” said Ayman Jamal, founder of Barajoun Entertainment.
Jamal told VR Film Pro that while he sees significant potential for VR content, he also perceives a need for more investment in the burgeoning medium of VR. “We have done a couple of VR projects for education in the private sector. We’re seeing more interest in VR but less investment. The interest is there but still people are hesitant to go into this heavily, but I think it will take place very soon, especially in the edutainment sector,” he said.
Barajoun Entertainment recently impressed audiences at Cannes Film Festival with its first feature-length animation, Bilal. Since completing Bilal, the company has been working on other projects, including commercial work.
